“A New Day Dawning ”

I've been through alot in my lifetime
Many reasons to throw in the towel
But I refuse to be beaten
Get lost sadness! I growl
There's so much beauty around me
So sadness step out of my way!
Today is a new beginning
And it's going to be a great day!
I'm sending my mind on vacation
And giving my heart a rest
Blocking out all negative thoughts
Letting in only the best.
For now on I'll treat myself kindly
And never put myself down
Learn something new every day
Until my true self I have found
I'll strive to always move forward
Letting go of regrets from my past
Building a new life for myself
Filled with happiness that will last!
